The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BNY, NYSE:BNY) is a provider of investment management, wealth management and investment services. The company adopted BNY as its corporate brand in place of BNY Mellon during 2024, and its New York Stock Exchange ticker changed from BK to BNY during 2026. It is one of the largest asset servicing companies in the world, with $2.2 trillion in assets under management and $62.6 trillion in assets under custody and/or administration (June 30, 2026). The company’s global client base include asset managers, banks, corporations, governments, financial intermediaries, insurance companies, sovereign institutions, investment advisors, non-profit organizations, pension funds and high-net-worth individuals. Bank of New York Mellon was formed in July 2007 through the merger of The Bank of New York Company, Inc and Mellon Financial Corporation. The company had approximately 48,100 full-time employees at December 31, 2025, and approximately 60% of its total employees were based outside the United States. At June 30, 2026 it reported total assets of $525.0 billion and deposits of $370.5 billion. Its market capitalization was $53 billion as of June 30, 2017.
