Diamond Bank Plc is a universal bank offering a full range of financial products and services to retail and corporate customers. It operates through the following business segments: Retail, Business and Corporate Banking and Treasury. It offers cheque and savings accounts, term deposits, lending products, foreign exchange, money transfers, investments as well as project finance, funds management, capital management, trade and cash management, online and mobile banking and other services. The Bank's local subsidiary is Diamond Pension Funds Custodian Limited, one of the five pension fund custodians licensed by the National Pension Commission (PenCom). The overseas subsidiaries include Diamond Bank (UK) Plc, Diamond Bank du Benin SA, Diamond Bank Togo, Diamond Bank Senegal and Diamond Bank Côte d’Ivoire. The company was incorporated in December 1990, and opened for business in March 1991. In May 2005, it was listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. In 2013, it acquired Intercontinental Bank (UK) Plc which was renamed Diamond Bank (UK) Plc. Today, Diamond Bank is one of the leading financial institutions in Nigeria with total assets of N2.066 trillion (US$6.2 billion), gross loans of N1.077 trillion, total deposits of N1.399 trillion and total equity of N238.1 billion as of June 30, 2017. The company employs approximately 4,400 people and operates through a network of more than 270 branches and 1,059 ATMs throughout Nigeria and 317 branches across the Group.
