Banco Santander Río S.A. (formerly Banco Río de la Plata) (BCBA: BRIO) is one of the largest banks in Argentina with over 2.5 million customers, 400 branches, 1,200 ATMs and 7,800 employees. It operates through the following business segments: personal and SME banking, commercial banking, agro and corporate banking. As of March 31, 2017, Banco Santander Río S.A. had total assets of ARS 249.460 billion, deposits of ARS 168.175 billion and total equity of ARS 22.9 billion. The company’s market capitalization was approximately US$4 billion as of May 25, 2017.
