AmBank Group is one of the ten largest banking groups in Malaysia. It employs 11,000 people and serves over 3 million customers through a network of about 170 branches, 13 regional offices and 766 ATMs. The Group includes AMMB Holdings Bhd, a public listed company with a market capitalization of RM 15 billion (07/2017). As of March 31, 2017, it had RM 134.8 billion in total assets and RM 94.1 billion in customer deposits. The company was founded in 1975 by Merchant Banking pioneer Hussain Najadi. Tan Sri Azman Hashim, one of the richest people in Malaysia, is Chairman of AmBank Group.
