DBS Bank, the main subsidiary of DBS Group Holdings, is the largest bank in Singapore and one of the largest financial institutions in Asia. The company provides a complete range of banking services including consumer banking, business banking and private banking. It offers current and savings accounts, personal and auto loans, home and renovation loans, debit and credit cards, investments, wealth management, securities brokerage, cash management, treasury and trusts services as well as life and health insurance, travel & motor insurance, home insurance, personal accident insurance and business insurance. Additionally, it offers bill payments, safe deposit boxes, cash acceptance machines and online, mobile and phone banking. DBS is a leading consumer bank in Singapore and Hong Kong, serving over 4.6 million and 1 million retail customers, respectively. With more than 22,000 employees, the Bank has a network of over 270 branches across 17 markets in Asia including about 90 domestic branches, 50 branches in Hong Kong, 30 branches in China, 43 branches in Taiwan, about 40 branches in Indonesia plus operations in India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines. DBS was the first Singapore bank to incorporate in China in May 2007. The company operates two brands in Singapore - DBS and POSB. POSB is a mass market franchise that currently serves over 3 million Singaporeans. In 2016, the Bank named "Safest Bank in Asia" by Global Finance magazine for the eighth consecutive year. It also was named Asia’s Best Bank and World’s Best Digital Bank by Euromoney. In the first-quarter of 2017, DBS reported net profit of S$1.2 billion and deposits of S$342 billion. DBS is one of the highest rated banks in Asia.
