Zag Bank

Zag Bank (formerly known as Bank West) is a direct bank offering a range of financial products and services through mobile and online banking. It offers savings and investment accounts, guaranteed investment certificates (GICs), automatic transfers and other services. It was established in 2003 as Bank West and was acquired by Quebec-based Desjardins Group in 2011. Desjardins changed the name of Bank West to Zag Bank in 2014. The company is headquartered in High River, Alberta with additional office in Winnipeg (Manitoba). As at May 31, 2017, it had total assets of C$1.836 billion. Zag is a member of the CDIC.
