ABN AMRO Bank (Chile) S.A. was a subsidiary of ABN AMRO Bank N.V., a leading retail and commercial bank based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. ABN AMRO started operations in Chile in 1990 under the name ABN Tanner Bank. In 1995, it became ABN AMRO Bank (Chile) S.A. In 2007, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) acquired ABN AMRO operations in Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela. In 2010, The Bank of Nova Scotia took over RBS's Chilean corporate and commercial banking operations.
