Steiermärkische Bank und Sparkassen AG (or Steiermärkische Sparkasse) is Styria’s oldest bank with a 200 year old tradition. Since its establishment in 1825, it has proved to be a reliable partner to the regional public sector and an integral part of the Styrian economy. With a balance sheet total of €22.5 billion at the end of 2024, the Steiermärkische Sparkasse Group is not only the largest Styrian bank, but also the largest provincial savings bank and the largest financial institution in southern Austria. In addition to Austria, the Bank has operations in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Montenegro. Through 468 locations across Styria and southeast European countries, it served about 2.9 million customers at the end of 2024.
