Crédit Agricole Group is the leading retail bank in France and one of the largest banking groups in the world. The company includes a network of cooperative and mutual banks with over 2,500 Local Banks and 39 Regional Banks jointly controlling Crédit Agricole S.A. via SAS la Boétie. It is the bank of 9 farmers out of 10 in France. Credit Agricole is the first European asset manager (by total assets under management), the first bancassurer in Europe as well as the third European player in project finance. With over 138,000 employees, it serves 52 million customers through 11,100 branches worldwide. As of March 2016, the company had approximately EUR 1.4 trillion in total assets under management. In June 2017, Crédit Agricole sold its entire stake (15.4%) in Eurazeo to the investment company JCDecaux Holding.
