HSBC France is a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings, a multinational corporation with about 90 million customers. With approximately 10,000 employees, HSBC France provides a wide range of products and services including personal banking, commercial and investment banking, private banking, wealth management, insurance and global markets. HSBC France was formerly known as Crédit Commercial de France (CCF). In July 2000, HSBC Holdings acquired Crédit Commercial de France. In November 2005, CCF became HSBC France. In 2008, HSBC France sold its regional retail banking subsidiaries (Société Marseillaise de Crédit, Banque de Savoie, Banque Chaix, Banque Marze, Banque Dupuy, de Parseval, Banque Pelletier and Crédit Commercial du Sud-Ouest) to Banque Populaire Group. In 2011, HSBC Private Bank France merged with HSBC France. In 2013, HSBC France acquired HSBC Assurances Vie (France).
As of June 30, 2016, HSBC France had EUR 196.194 billion in total assets, EUR 35.948 billion in customer deposits, EUR 40.420 billion in customer loans and EUR 6.058 billion in total equity.
