Banco Etcheverria S.A., established in 1717, was the oldest bank in Span with offices in all four Galician provinces and Madrid. The Bank was headquartered in Corunna and employed over 150 people. Its products and services included current and savings accounts, payroll and pension accounts, personal loans, mortgages, credit cards, car insurance, life and health insurance, home insurance, accident insurance, business insurance, investments, treasury management, foreign trade, financial planning, wealth management, online banking and more. Banesco Group, Venezuela's largest private bank, bought a majority stake in Banco Etcheverria in 2012. The deal included Novagalicia Banco’s 44.7% stake in Banco Etcheverria.
In November 2014, Banco Etcheverria S.A. was integrated into ABANCA Corporación Bancaria, S.A.
