Falcon Private Bank is owned by Aabar Investments PJS, an investment company based in United Arab Emirates, and indirectly held by the government of Abu Dhabi. Aabar’s majority shareholder is the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), one of the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds with total assets of over US$55 billion. Falcon Private Bank was established in 1965 and is headquartered in Zurich. It has branches and representative offices in London, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The Abu Dhabi Representative Office is Falcon Private Bank's second office in the UAE following the opening of its Dubai office in 2008. Falcon Bank has approximately US$18 billion in assets under management (2016) with a customer base of about 3,000 clients.

Falcon Group is the first private bank to offer blockchain asset management services via the cooperation with Bitcoin Suisse AG. Customers can exchange and hold Bitcoins via Falcon. Bitcoin ATM has been installed in the lobby of Falcon’s head office in Zurich.
