Luzerner Kantonalbank AG (LUKB), founded in 1850, is a full-service bank serving the canton of Lucerne through a network of 25 branches. It also has private banking location in Zurich and customer care centre in Lucerne. The company provides basic banking services, mortgages, financing for SMEs as well as private and institutional banking. With approximately 1,000 employees, Luzerner Kantonalbank serves over 280,000 retail, corporate, private and institutional customers. LUKB’s principal shareholder is the canton of Lucerne, which holds about 62% of the bank’s shares. The Bank is the parent company for LUKB Wachstumskapital AG (venture capital firm), LKB Expert Fondsleitung AG and Gewerbe Finanz Luzern AG.
As at September 30, 2017, LUKB had total assets of CHF 36.536 billion, deposits of CHF 22 billion and total equity of CHF 1.97 billion. Luzerner Kantonalbank is one of the ten largest Swiss banks in terms of total assets.
