Banamex USA (BUSA) was an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Citigroup and an affiliate of Banco Nacional de Mexico S.A. It provided a range of banking services for companies and individuals which did business in the United States, Mexico and Latin America. With over 300 employees, it had three branches in California and Texas with assets of approximately US$850 million and deposits of US$460 million. Banamex USA was established in 1963 and was headquartered in Los Angeles.
