Deutsche Bank has been present in Mexico since 1957. With about 100 employees, it provided a full range of financial products and advisory services to corporate and institutional clients. The Bank had a license for a broker dealer (Deutsche Securities) and a license for a bank subsidiary (Deutsche Bank Mexico S.A.). In 2013, Deutsche Bank was named Best Investment Bank in Mexico by Euromoney magazine. As of June 30, 2016, DB Mexico had total assets of MXN 38.960 billion (US$2.1 billion) and long-term local and foreign currency deposit ratings of Ba1 from Moody's with a stable outlook.
In October 2016, Deutsche Bank agreed to sell its Mexico units (Deutsche Bank Mexico, S.A. Institución de Banca Múltiple and Deutsche Securities, S.A. de C.V. Casa de Bolsa) to Mexican lender InvestaBank S.A. The transaction will be closed in 2017.
