Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse, FWB), founded in 1585, is one of the oldest exchanges in the world as well as the largest of seven stock exchanges in Germany. It is also the tenth largest stock exchange globally by market value. As of September 2016, the total market capitalization of the listed companies was over $1.7 trillion. Frankfurt Stock Exchange is operated by Deutsche Börse AG and Börse Frankfurt Zertifikate AG. The trading indices include DAX, DAXplus, CDAX, VDAX, DivDAX, LDAX, MDAX, SDAX, TecDAX and EuroStoxx 50, among others.
