Citizens Financial Group Inc (NYSE: CFG), founded in 1828, is one of the oldest financial institutions in the United States. The Group’s banking subsidiaries are Citizens Bank, N.A. and Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania. Citizens Financial is a leading commercial bank holding company with over 1,200 branches, 3,200 ATMs and more than 17,000 employees. It operates a branch network in 11 states in the New England, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest regions as well as non-branch retail and commercial offices in 40 states. Citizens is the 12th largest bank in the U.S. by deposits and a predominant bank in the New England region. As of September 30, 2017, it had $151.4 billion in total assets, $113 billion in deposits and $109 billion in loans. The company provides a wide range of financial products and services including money market accounts, IRAs, certificates of deposit, mortgage and home equity loans, auto loans, student loans, business loans, credit cards, transaction and cash management, wealth management, online and mobile banking as well as commercial banking services. In November 2015, Citizens Financial Group became a fully independent publicly-traded company (RBS Group sold its remaining stake in Citizens in October 2015). As of November 20, 2017, CFG had a market capitalization of over $19 billion.
